PERMITTING

Permits are the way the local municipality regulates construction. The permit process is designed to ensure that all construction being built in their jurisdiction is safe. In addition to the local building codes, there are also federal and state laws that govern construction, such as those covering energy conservation. The role architect in this phase is to submit the permit application, drawings, and other required information to the building department. In addition, the architect monitors the application progress and provides additional information as requested. Successful experience with MASA filing for construction permits and receiving approvals helps clients effectively move projects towards the construction phase.
